This 12 x 9 oil painting was done fairly quickly as the light was changing, a challenge for any plein air artist—getting as much information down on canvas while you can. I choose to make my paintings in one ‘go’ to keep my painting feeling fresh and in the moment. I think I captured that in this painting, titled ‘Red House, White Door.’
